Illusions in Serenity is a collection of work examining a reverberating space where thoughts, memories and anxieties echo and amplify. Loosening threads disentangle internal complexities revealing the turmoil beneath a deceptive calm. This series pulls at the seams of perception, unraveling the fabric of reality to reveal the mind's internal dissonance. Objects and imagery symbolize the mind's displacement, carrying the weight of a relentless journey towards an elusive peace. Time, memory and space blur, coalescing lived experiences and disjointed realities — where nostalgia collides with intergenerational anxiety, and the pursuit of advancement dissolves into repetition and self-commodification. Fragmented objects mirror a fractured state of mind. Illusions in Serenity explores the cost of sustaining personal peace in a world where perpetual movement erodes the self. This series examines how, in a search for peace, the mind distorts, abstracts and reconfigures reality, often sacrificing serenity in the process.
